The couple endured a long-distance relationship for eight years before finally deciding to marry. “After just one month of meeting, it was a long-distance relationship for eight long years and then we thought we should get married, so we did,” Smriti shared in a viral video. In July 2023, Captain Anshuman Singh’s life was tragically cut short in a fire accident at an Indian Army ammunition dump in Siachen.
