Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka has recorded a significant improvement in the results of the 1st Pre-University Course (PUC) examinations this year. The district has recorded a pass percentage of 95.47%, which is a notable increase from last year’s 90.71%.

Out of the 28,026 students who appeared for the exams, 26,717 passed. The pass percentage for girls was 96.53%, while that of boys was 94.47%. The district has also seen an increase in the number of students who have scored above 90%, with 4,220 students achieving this milestone.

The government and education officials have commended the efforts of the students and teachers and have announced cash prizes for the top-performing students and teachers.
