Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka has recorded a significant improvement in the results of the 1st Pre-University Course (PUC) examinations this year. The district has recorded a pass percentage of 95.47%, which is a notable increase from last year’s 90.71%.

Out of the 28,026 students who appeared for the exams, 26,717 passed. The pass percentage for girls was 96.53%, while that of boys was 94.47%. The district has also seen an increase in the number of students who have scored above 90%, with 4,220 students achieving this milestone.

The Karnataka assembly elections are around the corner, and political parties are facing the threat of rebellion from within their ranks. Reports suggest that both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress are struggling to maintain unity among their members.

The BJP is reportedly facing discontent from several of its MLAs, who are unhappy with their ticket allocation. The party high command is working to placate these disgruntled members, but the situation remains tense. The Congress, on the other hand, is facing rebellion from several of its leaders, who are dissatisfied with the party’s leadership.
